"End 68 Hours of Hunger" program provides school children (SAU 16) with
food for weekend meals.
During October we have been asked to donate fruit cups (individual packages).     If you would like to also donate a new backpack, they are asking for gender neutral colors as this simplifies the delivery process. Food items and back packs can be brought to the church and placed at the display at the front of the    sanctuary.  Thank you for your continued support and prayers for this very     important community outreach program.
For more information check out their facebook page www.end68hoursofhunger.org
We also support the local food pantry "St. Vincent dePaul".  The following items are currently needed and welcome:  Personal Hygiene Items: Tooth brushes, tooth paste, soap, shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper, tissues, paper towels etc.  They are also looking for clean, empty egg cartons (12 egg size no larger).  Items may be brought directly to the pantry at 53 Lincoln St., Exeter or left at the church in the basket just inside the sanctuary.   www.svdexeter.com
St. Vincent dePaul also helps residents of the Exeter area with fuel assistance, employment & computer skills, & Tax Preparation.  Call them at 603-772-9922 for assistance.
It is time to start thinking about filling a shoebox for Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child outreach!
The boxes are here! Everyone is encouraged to take one, two or more and fill them for a child in need.  They are then delivered to children in the USA and around the world.  There are a few restrictions on what can not go in the boxes: No candy; toothpaste; gum; used or damaged items; war related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures; chocolate or food; seeds; fruit rolls or other fruit snacks; drink mixes powdered or liquid; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins, breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans.   This does sounds like a lot of restrictions but the countries where they are delivered to are very specific about what is allowed.
The lists of items that can go in the shoeboxes can be found on the website www.samaritanspurse.org
This outreach is a lot of fun and great for children to help with!  You pick if you want to fill a shoebox for a girl or boy and there are also three age brackets.
Have fun! The deadline to return the boxes to the church is Sunday, Nov. 17th but they can be dropped off anytime before then M-F 8:30-12:30 pm.
